There is always something I love when you can't see the subjects face. There's always so much mystery

Location
The picture was taken just across the Dutch border by the seaside. Taking the time to travel the little roads leading to this spot payed well off because where I live the coastline has a lot of buildings and that not ideal for creating the right mood in the pictures. It was the first time the model and I worked together, so the drive over there was ideal to chat a bit and getting to know one-another. These pictures fitted her perfectly!Time
It was the end of june, just before the summer vacation and the time was just about 20:00. The conditions were perfect... Low on wind, lot 's of warm sunlight. We arrived a bit late at the beach so we still had energy to make a couple of short series. Shooting outside can get quite tiresome sometimes, especially when it's hot and you're walking in loose sand the whole time... or I must be getting old, that can be the problem too ;-)Lighting
It was the famous "golden hour" tiem of the day when we shot this. I didn't use anything else then natural light. You get a useful reflection from the white sand when you're shooting on the beach. But still, almost eight o clock so I shot this with largest aperture (2.8) to get enough of this warm light in.Equipment
I shot this with my one and only old Canon EOS 7D and a Sigma 70-200/2.8. No tripod, no flash, no reflector.Inspiration
The girl did. She was an adventurous and strong young lady. She needs to be taken seriously in her stride but we mustn't forget that even strong woman like to be attractive and seductive too... I 've tried to mix these elements into this picture, the adventurousness, her strength and her beauty, which she had in abundance.Editing
I did. I used a procedure I normally use to color monochromes on this color picture to get that exact mood and a certain degree of harmony. In my camera bag
All I have :-) Canon 7D, Sigma 24-70/2.8, Sigma 70-200/2.8, a tripod, a couple of manual flashes and lots of water to drink :-)Feedback
It is very simple to make similar shots... I guess the key part is to get to know your model and tailor the shots a bit to her...
