Location
The photo was taken in a private woods near Birdlip in Gloucester in the UKTime
this was taken late afternoon the sun was getting rather low but this was giving a nice diffused light through the trees which is what I wanted, we used a smoke canister to the left to add drama to the image and Ivory dressed in her mums wedding dress to give the image nostalgia a bit of a Victorian style. Ivory's beautiful flame red hair also brings out the suttle afternoon lightLighting
as previously stated the afternoon low light gives the picture depth in its formation of shadow and adds to the lost atmosphere of the imageEquipment
My trusty Canon 6D was used for the shoot on this occasion as well as my 24-105mm zoom as we were finding various locations for the shoot my holster belt for the camera was perfect for freeing my hands up to remove any unwanted foliage - again to save on dragging unnecessary equipment around I had the images in my mind and knew that this was all the tools I needed plus a few smoke bombs of course. Nature did the restInspiration
Inspiration comes from my imagination and looking at other peoples work I also think that I find satisfaction from stretching my boundaries and trying something new like my water wig shoot, light painting etc Its good to be dangerous now and again step into the unknown, especially now with our digital camera's we have the luxury to see our images straight away and adjust settings to suitEditing
very little post processing I removed unwanted items from the right of Ivory and brought up the vivid colours a tadIn my camera bag
My camera bag itself is loaded with everything but I try to only bring out what I need for a shoot that way I don't lose too many lens caps :-)Feedback
look on here and get some inspiration but have your own style - try all sorts of photography and do a simple college course it is amazing what you will learn be inspired by others but follow your dream = anything is possible so stop taking snaps and experiment --Good luck
