Location
was taken in Arbatax, Sardinia, these are the famous red rocks, an iconic spot in the ancient region of Ogliastra. they all photograph this rock on the other side, but I was attracted by this point of shooting from below.Time
was taken at sunset in late August, it was a bit of days that the sky was completely clear of clouds making the light very flat, so as soon as the first clouds came out I went to this place where I knew that you can shot some good landscape photo.Lighting
The light was particularly soft given the time and the clouds that filter the sunEquipment
this was taken with the sony a7iii, my faithful wide-angle 16-35 F4 zeiss, the manfrotto tripod and the nd 1000 filter mounted on the lens. I love this wide angle because of the possibility of mounting circular filters. It is not particularly speedy and therefore I do not use it for night shots, but for landscapes it is excellent.Inspiration
I don't like to take the landscape photo that everyone usually makes, so I always look for different, unusual points of view, so I photographed the famous red rocks from the back, lowering myself almost to get into that puddle that you see in the foreground, it looked like a good picture and I hope it is!Editing
I worked on the lights in order to enhance the illuminated areas by doing a bit of dodge and burn, the sky is recovered with a second click, I adjusted the colors so as to return the emotion that the place transmitted to me at the time of shooting. In my camera bag
normally for these shots I have my sony, the sony zeiss 16-35F4, my manfrotto tripod and some filters, I only use Nd or polarizer, I have nothing else.Feedback
For this type of shots I advise you not to take the usual photo that they all take, but to reflect, turn around the subject, lower or stand up to give unusual points of view. Never forget to insert something in the foreground to create more levels of interest in the image.
