Location
I took this image in my very first make shift home studio. Located in Victoria, BC. CanadaTime
This was taken late morning or shortly after lunch, by my patio door for lighting.Lighting
I was new and only had my patio door for lighting. I also used a sheer curtain and some Christmas lights for the blurred backdrop look.Equipment
I was new and using my Canon T5i with my 50 mm lens.Inspiration
This was a planned body positivity photoshoot with my best friend. I wanted a close up for her as well and this turned out to be the perfect angle with the right amount of lighting !!Editing
I was fairly new and I believe it was just a little saturation added to make her eyes pop color. possibly a little noise reduction, and maybe a slight bit of a light adjustment. In my camera bag
I currently just upgraded my equipment to the mirrorless canon RP I now have an external flash ( have not had to use it yet) I always have my 50mm lens as well as my 35 mm and 17 to 85mm lens all 3 are my go to for portrait depending on the space im in.Feedback
Keep practicing, try different angles and lights but make sure you take note to remember which ones, I think most of mine are shot either slight off the patio doors for light up to a 45 degree angle facing the patio door. I currently have a full studio and use 2 light with a big window facing front of the main backdrops. My lights are usually facing a 45 degree angle but i adjust them as i need to for shadows. Practice even if its on a doll.
