Location
This image was taken from a road bridge over one of the tributaries of the river Dart in Totnes South Devon UKTime
The shot was taken at about 3.15 in the afternoon whilst out walkingLighting
It was an overcast day with weak sunlight behind me.Equipment
I used my trusty Canon 40D with a Tamron 70-300 lens.Which is one of my favourite lens'sInspiration
I just looked down the creek and was taken by the the scene of the boat and the old warehouse buildings. It was taken hand held with no flash. In manual mode.Editing
The image is posted as shot, with only a slight cropping. In my camera bag
I tend not to carry a bag but use a shoulder sling for my 40D. I try and plan what my subject is going to be for that day and select a lens accordingly. Travel as light as possible. I always have a battery grip fitted to my camera and a couple of spare batteries in my pocket.Feedback
Be aware of what's is around you and don't be afraid to take as many shots as you feel the subject deserves. Try different angles and points of view above all experiment, and have fun.
