Location
This was taken at Longleat Safari park in the UK. They were just coming out to be fedTime
The time of day was around 1300 as we walked past they were getting ready to feed. This one was rather comical as he waddled up to usLighting
It was a bright sunny day. The sun was shining straight into their enclosure. Which was a challenge because of the glare off the water.Equipment
The camera was a Canon 7D mkii with a Sigma 18-250mm hsm lens. This is my favourite walk around comboInspiration
This was taken purely because as I walked past they all came scurrying out of their house, as it was feeding time. This little fella ran the other way to the rest of them. He came waddling towards us and was so comical. I could not resist but had to take the shot.Editing
Apart from in very slight crop in Elements 12 there is no other post processing. I try not to use post processingIn my camera bag
What's in my every day bag. Well my Canon 7D mkii along with my Sigma 18-250, and may be another lens depending on what I intend to shot. Spare batteries (of course) but I do use a battery grip. Cleaning cloth and cleaning spray. Pencil and note pad, spare storage cards . A wrist strap to secure the cameraFeedback
Be prepared where ever you go. Be it city, coast or country there is always a subject that is worthy of your attention. Be it wildlife a stunning scene or just a plain old lamppost.
