Wagons were a necessary unit of survival in the old west. Although they use local assets to build Fort Meyers wagons were required to bring in gun powder, ammunition, and caned goods for survival. This was the only wagon remains I found at Fort Meyers one of the remote sub outpost of the Buffalo Soldiers who protected the emerging western development of the U.S. from the indigenous hostile Native Americans. History always sides with the winners.
