Taken in my back yard. I woke up one morning and thought my trees had died as they looked brown. Closer inspection there were literally millions of Monarchs on the leaves. Could not pass up the photo opportunity. They pass in March and Oct. each year going to Mexico and points north.

Emile, this happened on a yearly basis in Monterey Ca. we I lived there, It really is a sight to see, your image captures true live on these magnificent Monarchs, Simply Splendid my friends! I regret I was not into photography way back in the day!
