I gathered this image of this Curtiss P-40 WarHawk at the 2011 Santa Rosa Air Show. Apr 18, 2016 - A single-engine American aircraft, the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an all-metal single-seat ground attack aircraft and fighter that first took to the skies in 1938. Most Allied powers used the plane during World War II where it remained on the frontline until the war's end. The P-40 design was a modification of the previous Curtiss P-36 Hawk which reduced development time and enabled a rapid entry into production and operational service.
