Location
This was shot at Cable lake in Spooner Wisconsin.Time
It was around 10pm at night, it was the first thunderstorm I ever photographed.Lighting
All natural lighting, and a lot of lucky timing lolEquipment
Tripod was a must, I used the 18-55mm lense and my trusty Canon Rebel T5IInspiration
I was sitting in the living room of our new home, and I heard the thunder, I then saw flashes of light outside... but I heard no rain, so I grabbed my equipment and bolted to the back porch and started snapping awayEditing
No post processing other than adding my watermark in the cornerIn my camera bag
My bag usually holds my camera, my 2 lenses (18-55 and 50mm) and some cleaning equipmentFeedback
Just snap away, you'll eventually grab one that's a winner. Lightning is hard to predict, at least for me it was. So this was a true luck in my opinion.
