Location
I took this shot along my favorite stretch of road less than 10 miles from my home.Time
Shortly after midnight on a moonless night.Lighting
I like to take my night photos when the moon is not present. The sky is darker, the stars are brighter.Equipment
Canon 6D, 24-70 f/2.8, Manfrotto TripodInspiration
I really like lone trees without leaves. IEditing
I shoot in RAW, so I did some adjustment on the clarity, vibrance, and contrast sliders. In my camera bag
For shots close to home, i grab my camera and tripod and head out the door.Feedback
Use live view mode with the 2 second delay. It is much cheaper and easier than mirror lock up with a remote, but i actually find it easier and you don't need to remember where mirror lock up can be found.
