I am going to say that I see this style of shot a lot, rarely executed well.. the best of them have been on Viewbug.. your shot has mood, peace tranquility all in one.. this would make an awesome print large scale in my living room LOVE IT

Love the colours and reflections. I would love to take photos like this.

Location
This picture was took in a small fisherman village in the Northwest coast of Cuba (Puerto Esperanza province de Pinar del Rio.)Time
It was really early in the morning and sun has not yet rise ( around 7h30)Lighting
It was pure luck. We did not check what was the weather like and were buzzing around the harbour when everything happens right light, right place, right moment :)Equipment
I have a Canon EOS 650D and an EF-S17-85mm f/4-5.6. The camera was set to ISO 100 - 17mm and f4 for a t1/80.Inspiration
I was doing a photoreport trip in Cuba and I wanted to see the kids going to school but I was not expected to see this place as I arrive at night to the village.Editing
Yes I did some post processing. Light and contrast were OK. Hight light -80 shadow +96 white -18 and black -56In my camera bag
I have 2 bags one with all my photo stuff that I usually do not carry with me and a small city man bag where I have my camera with the EF-S17-85mm lens, a Joby GorillaPod and an metal "sweet gum" box with a lens tissue cleaner and 2 16Go SD cards.Feedback
Some time you can get lucky but it is best to prepare yourself a bit by finding the right location, checking the weather forecast and set your alarm clock really early to be ready to trigger when the right light will be there.
