Location
This photo was taken in Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite national Park.Time
This was taken around 7:30 in the evening of June 21, 2014.Lighting
The sun was going down behind me which gave me great color contrast.Equipment
The equipment was a Nikon D610 on a tripod with a Nikon 16-35mm lens and a Promaster variable ND filter.Inspiration
I had been camping with some friends for a few days hoping to get as many sunrises and sunsets of the meadow as possible. On these particular the clouds the colors didn't show until late in the afternoon so right after dinner I made a last minute dash to one a the favorite spots on the Tuolumne River.Editing
I processed this photo in LightRoom and also used a plugin by OnOne Software. In my camera bag
I usually carry 16-35 and 80-400 Nikon lenses. I also carry an assortment of ND filters and tripod.Feedback
I think what is speacial about this capture is the use of the ND filter and having the sun to my back.
