This is a wonderful shot with the correct title. you must have been so excited seeing him in his pose. I just love the crossed paws and the gorgeous half bow of the head. Well done Cheryl.

What a character. This one looks as though it really posed for the shot. My question is. Where did you take the shot, and is he tame? Congrats. on the feature.

Thank you so much! This was taken at "Out of Africa Wildlife park" in Cottonwood Arizona. It is such a beautiful place and the animals are well taken care of. He was behind a fence up high on a perch, so this was taken with my telephoto lens. As for the pose I just got lucky being in the right place at the right time! :)

A tiger shot like this is great, but you've captured a certain attitude there in that pose that is awesome!!

Location
This photo was taken at the "Out of Africa" Wildlife park in Camp Verde, Arizona.Time
This was taken early morning right after sunrise.Lighting
I used natural light for this shot which is my favorite way to photograph. Morning hours and just before sunset seem to be the best time for getting the best light.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 7D with a Canon EF 70-300mm zoom lens at 190mm at f/5.0. This photo was taken handheld and no flash. My exposure was at 1/640 sec and my iso was at 800Inspiration
I love to take photographs of all kinds of wildlife. So I set up a day to spend around many larger wildlife animals at the free range Wildlife park. When I came across this beautiful tiger while he was resting on his perch I couldn't help but take several different angles. This angle I felt gave him such majesty. The funny part though was he kept opening and closing his eyes while he was resting. So I waited patiently until he opened his eyes again.Editing
Very little post processing was done to this photo except for a little brightening, Sharpening and a little bit of cropping. In my camera bag
I have only one camera base and it's a 7D Canon EOS. I have three lenses. A EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS USM, EF 70-300mm and a EF 28-135mm. A tripod, a Canon Speedlite 430EX ll, for those times when natural light is unavailable. Two batteries and an extra SD cards. That's about it for now...Feedback
With this particular shot the animal was stationary so I could move around more and take photos from different angle which allows you to pick the best angle for the shot. Also patience is a virtue in this situation as he kept closing his eyes to rest. But once they open you must be quick as to not miss the shot before he closes them again. I always shoot in manual mode and I try and use the fastest shutter speed available under the circumstances as to keep the photos as sharp as possible due to the camera being handheld.
