One day I was walking with my dog and she followed the scent of a raccoon (from the droppings) up the stairs to our deck overlooking the river. She was so intent on the scent of the other critter she did not notice this black vulture perched nearby. Lucky for the bird because for some reason this dog of mine simply hates vultures - she barks and growls every time she sees them. I was able to get a couple of nice shots before this one decided it would be wise to move on. Just as it started to fly, Haze finally saw it and barked.
