The photo was taken on the beach of San Pedro de Antromero, on the coast of Asturias, Spain.Time
On the trip I made with some fellow photographers, we were looking for a place on the coast of Asturias that could make a good sunrise and we found this place. So we got up early to catch the sunrise and went to this beach. The photo was taken around 6:45 in the morning.Lighting
As there were some clouds blocking the sun the conditions were not ideal, but just when I found the drawing on the sand the sun appeared through a gap in the clouds and reflected on the water above the sand. I lowered the height of the camera to get a reflected illumination on the sand.Equipment

Having Olympus equipment reduced in size and not being exclusively dedicated to landscapes, I usually carry a lot of equipment in my backpack. The ideal is to access the place before to look for the framing and calculate where the light will come from to think how to take the pictures. Although in this case due to time I went the same day, and I found the drawing in the sand by chance. In any case, once on the site you should not be in a hurry, see the terrain and try the framing to get the photo you are looking for.
