The photo was taken at dawn from a house in Tromsø, during a trip whose primary objective was to capture auroras.Time
I woke up with the first light and looked out the window, I saw that the light at that moment was impressive, so I got warm and went out to the terrace to take a few pictures, of all the ones I took this was the best.Lighting
The sunlight peeking through the mountains gave the mountain in the photo a unique look, which is why I was attracted to this photo.Equipment
I used an Olympus OMD E-M1X and to isolate the mountain I used the Olympus M.zuiko Zoom M.zuiko 40-150 f2/8 at 70mm, I also used a tripod to secure the photo.Inspiration
When I woke up and while I was making coffee to clear my head, I looked out the window and saw how the sky looked with a beautiful sunrise light, so I was inspired to take pictures of the mountains on the other side of the Tromsø fjord.Editing
Yes, I developed the photo with Capture One and then went to photoshop where I enhanced it a bit and made it black and white.In my camera bag
On a trip like the one I did in northern Norway, I take as much gear as I can fit in my backpack. Luckily when carrying Olympus equipment it is very small in size so I take almost everything I have. In this case I took 2 camera bodies, the OMD E-M1 Mark 2 and the OMD E-M1X, and the M.zuiko 7-14 f/2.8, 12-40 f/2.8, 40-150 f/2.8, and 300mm f/4 lenses.Feedback
A tip to capture these photos, always have your camera at hand and take advantage of the moment, the light is ephemeral and you can miss the moment of the photo. If I had not taken the picture the morning I took it, even though I spent more days in Tromsø, I would not have been able to take it the same way, there was no other morning with such a fantastic light.
