Getting The Best Shot

The best ways to photograph in early mornings are to use a tripod to steady your camera and avoid camera shake, particularly if you're using a slow shutter speed. Setting your ISO to a low value, such as 100 or 200, will help to keep noise levels low and produce a cleaner image. Using a wide aperture, such as f/2.8 or f/4, will help to create a shallow depth of field and blur the background, which can be particularly useful for isolating your subject. Taking advantage of the "blue hour" before sunrise, when the sky is bathed in a soft, warm light, can create a beautiful, moody atmosphere in your photos. This is also a great time for landscape photography, as the color of the sky and the reflections on the water can be particularly striking.

About The Preset

ProMist Sunrise provides a soft, warm glow to your image while adding a nostalgic film aesthetic. Just as an autumn morning sunrise does. The preset requires the image to be properly white balanced, before application. This allows skin tones to retain the natural look with a gentle boost in the overall midtones. For portraits, this preset gently softens skin. For landscapes and cityscapes, the preset softens the image giving a painterly effect, while providing subtle edge sharpening.
