We had a couple of days of freezing fog over the new year so i went for a drive and discovered fields and trees full of frost just out side of Southampton in a little hamlet of Lee.Time
As I recall it was was about mid morning on new years day.Lighting
This was a grey over cast cold day.Equipment
This was a quick no thought day. I just grabbed my camera which EOS R with the RF28-70 F2 attached.Inspiration
We don't get much in in the form of snow or freezing fog so i jumped out of the house to try to find something covered in frostEditing
The picture had a auto- tune with DPP4.In my camera bag
My camera Canon EOS R seems to have the 28-70mm F2 welded to it at the moment as it is a lovely lens you use. Great flexibility with its zoom for landscapes and have just enough zoom for the more focus objects. I have also got a harness to assist in carrying the camera rather than having all the weight of the camera and lens around my neck (I would recommend one with heavy cameras and lenses). A tripod is always in the car. If I decide I'm doing the hole hog then the Lee filters and sigma 14-24 F2.8 get taken out as well. The only down side with the sigma which is another great lens is I need the adaptor for it.Feedback
I am still learning and think I am getting better. I think there is no right or wrong thing. If you see something take a photo of it, the cost of it is nothing once you have your camera. The more you use your camera the more you understand what it can do (play with the settings and move away from auto).
