Well done.
You have given 2020 a positive swing that is really (nice) positive, a contribution to the Year 2020 Collection. As always, the competition will be tough, which, as an added consequence, makes a possible victory taste very sweet. Good luck and probably for the … time: Happy New Year and stay healthy in 2021!

Location
This photo was taken at Hythe Marina. On my way home from visiting family. Turning of the motorway the moon was a orange glow with wispy clouds floating past and quite low in the sky. So I made a detour to Hythe. Unfortunately the 10miniute detour allowed the cloud cover the moon. But I set up the tripod and swung the lens towards home instead. I was there for about 5-10 mins.Time
I arrived there about 9pm. You can see the last of glow of the sunset disappearing over the horizon to the left of the picture.Lighting
The streetlights from Southampton docks and the city are reflecting on the water and clouds. The majority of the yellow street lights have been changed in the city but a large number are still within the docks generating the yellow glow.Equipment
The Photo was taken with a Canon EOS R. With the 28-70mm lens and aperture set to F2. I also used my tripod to steady the camera.Inspiration
I love to take low light/ night shots or landscape. Living where I do. I have a great opportunity to get lights reflecting on the water with Hythe/ Southampton on my door step I try to find somewhere close to home. As I work during the week my time is limited to good weather on the weekends.Editing
With post editing I only use Canons DPP. For this shot I would have tried to reduce the brightness around the docks and lightened other areas. In my camera bag
My camera Canon EOS R seems to have the 28-70mm F2 welded to it at the moment as it is a lovely lens you use. Great flexibility with its zoom for landscapes and have just enough zoom for the more focus objects. I have also got a harness to assist in carrying the camera rather than having all the weight of the camera and lens around my neck (I would recommend one with heavy cameras and lenses). A tripod is always in the car. If I decide I'm doing the hole hog then the Lee filters and sigma 14-24 F2.8 get taken out as well. The only down side with the sigma which is another great lens is I need the adaptor for it.Feedback
I am still learning and think I am getting better. I think there is no right or wrong thing. If you see something take a photo of it, the cost of it is nothing once you have your camera. The more you use your camera the more you understand what it can do (play with the settings and move away from auto).
