Location
I live about 15 minutes drive form the New Forest (UK) which is were I took this picture. I stumbled onto the apply named car park Matley Bog Inclosure, which is alonside a area of woodland.Time
It was early morning with only a couple of cars parked in the carpark so I would say it was about 7 in the morning when I got to the inclosure and then walking aimlessly to that location take photo's on the way.Lighting
I recall it was a bright morning with a thin layer of fog hugging the ground. I also used a number of Lee filters to enhance the autumn colours which where just starting to form in the leaf's of the trees.Equipment
The photo was taken using a tripod. The camera used was a Canon EOS r with the 28-70mm F2 lens. I also fitted Lee filters to the lens (autumn set used).Inspiration
I am what I call a opportunist photographer. If I see something I will take a photo and see the results when I get home. However I love to take Landscape photos with lots of colours when the seasons allow. This was was the case here the colours where just starting to come through for the autumn.Editing
I use Canon's DPP a lot with my photos. But I did experiment with this. Fortunately the weather was very still and I was able to take a number of shots by adjusting the aperture and time exposure. After adjusting the group of photos I the merged them which has given a real depth to the image. I was very suppressed by the result and occasional I have used the same prosses to get a similar effect.In my camera bag
My camera Canon EOS R seems to have the 28-70mm F2 welded to it at the moment as it is a lovely lens you use. Great flexibility with its zoom for landscapes and have just enough zoom for the more focus objects. Also recently I have got a 100-500mm zoom. I use a harness to assist in carrying the camera rather than having all the weight of the camera and lens around my neck (I would recommend one with heavy cameras and lenses). A tripod is always in the car. If I decide I'm doing the hole hog then the Lee filters and sigma 14-24 F2.8 get taken out as well. The only down side with the sigma which is another great lens is I need the adaptor for it.Feedback
I am still learning and think I am getting better. I think there is no right or wrong thing. If you see something take a photo of it, the cost of it is nothing once you have your camera. The more you use your camera the more you understand what it can do (play with the settings and move away from auto).
