I gathered this image of one of the 27 bronze panels on the main Cathedral entrance doors while visiting Milian Italy in April of 2009. This panel and the doors are made of bronze and were designed by the Italian sculptor Lodovico Pogliaghi in1902 and completed by him in 1908. You can find it protecting the main entrance to Milan’s magnificent cathedral known to Italians as Duomo di Milano. Construction work on the duomo of milan probably began in 1386. The duomo is located at the center of milan in pedestrianized piazza del duomo and at a walking distance from many other tourist attractions. I was looking for my image of the pair of huge entrance doors however I could not locate it in what I thought was a well organized collection of my Milan images however I will keep searching.
