For years I had tromped up and down this stream, but as I aged I learned to respect its beauty and delicate balance. I was trout fishing this stream in the national forest in late August 2012 just as it began raining. The over cast sky was really enhancing the contrast and colors so I went back to retrieve my camera and tripod.

Taken in the George Washington National Forest on the North Fork of the Tye River in Nelson County, Virginia.
ISO 100, five bracketed images @ 2.5 sec (±0.5 EV), f-11, and a circular polarizer filter.
