Taken from the Cape Hatteras Museum porch on our first day of vacation. Cloudless sky on the Cape made for a nice black and white.

In 1999, this 210 foot lighthouse was moved 2870 feet inland to safer ground after it was deemed to be in imminent danger from coastal erosion.
