This is the third notable falls (10-12 feet) on the North Fork Blackwater River below Thomas. It is accessed off of the Blackwater Canyon Trail, but it is hard to reach. Others have bushwacked a trail and blazed it with ribbon. The last 10-12 feet to the river bed was with the aid of a rope and rock ledge, but well worth it.

This is a long exposure of eight seconds with the aid of a Lee Little Stopper and NiSi Circular Polarizer filters. The froth capture in the eddy appears as a whirlpool.
