Just as the Sun broke through the clouds offshore, it illuminated the sky orange, pink, and purple. The emerald breakers on the rock below glowed. The actual scene was breath taking, and it only lasted from a couple minutes. Here are 5 frames with three different exposure using a high aperture and a gradient filter. The long exposures (1.0 to 1.6 seconds) caused the breakers to "ghost out".
The multiple frames were editted in Lightroom, imported-aligned-masked in Photoshop, and finished in Lightroom.
