I went up to Madison, Wisconsin a few weeks ago to look for fall color. I decided to go to a Zoo there that is open to the public year round. They has at least 14 Flamingos. I stood for over an hour because they were sleeping with their heads tucked into their bodies. All of a sudden, they all woke up and loudly started making noise at each other and touching beaks. Then as if on command, they all went back to sleep. It was an exciting experience.
