I gathered this image of San Miniato al Monte while visiting Piazzale Michelangelo. We took a bus from Florence up to Piazzale Michelangelo and then walked up to San Miniato al Monte, the oldest church in Florence. The San Miniato al Monte (St. Minias on the Mountain) is a basilica in Florence, central Italy, standing atop one of the highest points in the city. It has been described as one of the finest Romanesque structures in Tuscany and one of the most scenic churches in Italy.
