This is the same hummingbird with the light hitting the neck just right so that the dark spot now appears ruby color. Eventually, the entire neck area will reflect the ruby color in the right lighting. It indicates that it is a young male. I expect he will be leaving soon to migrate with our colder weather showing up. He kind of looks cranky in this photo.
