Fall sun, popped out from behind the clouds, and further enhanced the colors of this Southwestern scene, making for a perfect afternoon.

Accomplished artist, Georgia O'keefe moved to New Mexico from New York in 1934.
She found - purchased (this 21,000 acre property) and named her new home "Ghost Ranch".
She lived amongst her beloved landscape and its beauty, for over 40 years, until she passed away in 1986, at the age of 98.

The zen-like surroundings of the desert, transformed her outlook on life, and greatly influenced her artistic style.
Although, her earlier portraits and cityscapes had gained recognition, the Southwestern artworks she created during her time at Ghost Ranch became world renowned; allowing citizens of the world, to appreciate the Southwest as she did
