I was on a vaporetto in the Venice Lagoon heading towards the island of Burano when I noticed this incredible vessel approaching. I knew that I would only have one opportunity to gather the image as both vessels were traveling in opposite directions. I was fortunate to have gathered this image! The two people at the rear of the vessel are the owner builder, of the vessel, and crew member. I know this because I processed this image upon my return to the states and then printed it. The following year when we returned to Venice and went to Burano I asked a friend there to make sure that the owner of the vessel was given the print. My friend told me he would make sure the the owner would get the print and then told me the story of the " Saint Albano ".
