Intimate closeup of this almost sacred Havasu Creek

While the rest of the group continued hiking back to the campground, a friend and I took a longer break here at this small but wonderful waterfalls. Well, a photography break, that was. If Beaver Falls and Mooney Falls were the glamorized representation of Havasupai, which attracts an ample amount of backpackers every year, this little cascades with no name located somewhere between the two was a perfect candidate for such an intimate closeup of this almost sacred Havasu Creek. Havasupai people found their home here in the Grand Canyon over 800 years ago. But the creek had been flowing for thousands years before they got here, if not hundreds of thousands of years. The creek still ran strong, and it had been the source of life here.
