Freshly painted in gorgeous colors

Thanks to the ample amount of the rain we got this past winter here in California, wildflowers have bloomed like crazy all over this previously drought struck state. Super Bloom in Central California was one of the never-seen-before phenomena happening, and I recently learned that Portuguese Bend Preserve and Del Cerro Reserve in Rancho Palos Verdes, where I occasionally go trail running, was no exception! I arrived there with about 45 minutes of light remaining before sunset. The hills were incredibly colorful, covered with all kinds of ‘overgrown’ wildflowers, noticeably the yellow Black Mustard! The area was almost unrecognizable now that the hills were freshly painted in gorgeous colors! And with the magic hour glow cast everywhere, it looked like another world.
