Bathing in morning sun
After hiking a little bit, we reached this little pond with no name on our way to Clouds Rest. It was about a halfway point, and it was good time to take a quick break here. Completely surrounded by the tall pines, the rather swampy pond was so calm, and the reflection was almost mirror like. The ripples that tiny fish created while jumping out of the shallow water to catch flies were the only sign that there was life underneath the surface. For us, still early enough to stay in the shade while watching the trees at the other side of the pond bathing in the morning sun.
