A line of locomotive cars waiting to be filled with gravel and sand at this remote, industrial elevator along US I-40 in Northern Arizona.

I placed the camera, with a 75-300 mm telephoto lens, directly on top of the rail line to achieve this shot.

Yes, that white rectangle in the lower-left frame is a train that has just passed, from which the conductor blared it's horn several times.
I gotta' say, the deafening horn, ground shaking rumble and gusting wind from a 70 MPH, mile long freight train, passing by less than 10 Ft away is an unnerving and humbling experience.
