I believe this is a Cooper's Hawk. It has been lurking around our yard for the past few weeks and going in the bushes for prey. Today, I walked out of the house and scared it off from our deck. It went into the tree by the deck, then flew toward the back of the yard. I grabbed my camera and looked around for it and there it was, sitting on the back fence. It was extremely windy and lifted up the hawk's feathers.
