Glowing in orange
Morning arrived at the Tetons, and it was quite chilly. Part of me wished that I didn’t have to stay out in the blustery wind like that. But it was the view of Grand Teton that I got up early for. While shivering in my 600-fill down jacket with a couple of more layers underneath and the gloves on, I kept wondering how cold it was. It was almost mid-July! The wind constantly howled in my ear as it swept through the basin. Then, the moment that I had been waiting for more than a half hour arrived. The sun rose in the east, and its glorious light shone on the mountains. Grand Teton and the adjacent peaks started glowing in orange. And it would be gone soon. I started pressing the remote away.
