I took this shot from Ossuccio on Lake Como.Time
It was about 11 pm, during the fireworks on the Comacina Island which occur every year on the last Saturday of June. This one was on 2014. It's the biggest event on Lake Como and many people come from all around the region.Lighting
I didn't use any artificial light, except the fireworks, of course!Equipment
I used a 5D Mark II and a 24-105 mm lens on a sturdy tripod and I shot with a remote control.Inspiration
Actually it was the second time I went to this festival. You can find on my gallery the picture I took on 2013 as well. This time I was shooting a timelapse for my short video "Lake Como" and this is just a frame of that timelapse.Editing
I processed this shot removing a wire that disturbed the view and applying basic color corretions to the image. In my camera bag
This is an old shot and I used different gears...now I usually take with me my Sony a7S with a 16-35 mm Zeiss lens and a Sony RX10 III, a tripod, an eMotimo TB3 for timelapses and a couple of ND filters.Feedback
I think it's a great idea to shoot a timelapse during an event like this and then get both a video and some nice pictures instead of just one of them! Give it a try!
