Light Painting Fun Photo Contest Winners
Thank you to all the photographers that shared their best long exposure photos showing a creative use of light to draw or paint on the frame in the Light Painting Fun Photo Contest with chances to win a Vello Shutterboss Version II Timer Remote Switch, a Blackrapid Sport Shoulder Sling Strap and more!
"It's been hard to select only one winner, and in the end I chose a picture that is based on a technique I've been teaching for a year now. I selected this specific one because I know how hard it is to balance the light with the blue hour. Jose did extremely well on this one (and great choice for the color of the tube also). Thumbs up for the nice spinning pictures and the few orbs that made it to the top finalists. Keep it up with the light-painting shots, and I'll see you around if you're the kind of photographer that shoots at night" - Eric Paré
A special thanks to friend and professional photographer Eric Paré for his collaboration as a guest judge. Eric Paré is a Canadian visual artist who has been performing light-painting all around the world since 2013. His work has appeared on CNN, MTV, PetaPixel, CNET, Vice, Fubiz, TechInsider & TEDxMontreal. Eric has hosted workshops and conferences in Mexico City, Dubai, San Francisco, Toronto, Boston and NYC. Most of his pictures are lit by hand in a single second with no intentional external source of light. When he is not traveling in deserts or by the sea, he can be found in his studio in Montreal where he has developed a full 360 degree camera system with his team.
