Location
The photo was taken on Friesian Connection Farm in Dorr, MITime
This friesian beauty was released in the pasture to run free a little after noon.Lighting
The day was mostly overcast with a little blue sky peeking through here and there as seen in the background.Equipment
This photo was taken with a Canon 1DX with a 70-200 f2.8 wide open and almost racked to the max.Inspiration
I am blessed to have the owners of Friesian Connection as members of the church I pastor. I absolutely love it when they invite me to their farm to capture a few photos of their horses on the loose.Editing
The only post processing was a little cropping and lighting editing to lift the shadows to bring out the black coat.In my camera bag
Canon 1DX and Canon 70D; Lens:70-200, 24-70,16-35 all f2.8 IIUSMFeedback
I love taking action shots using back focus in AI servo mode with aperture wide open for blurred background and fast shutter speed to stop the action. I keep the drive in burst mode so that I have a number of photos to select from to get the best angles of the hoofs and head while the horse in full tilt run.
