Location
This picture was taken in Budapest, Hungary near Batthyány tér park tram stop.Time
This was taken late evening around 9 pm.Lighting
This shot is all about lighting and capturing this team that we found out is only decorated during the Chrostmas holidays.Equipment
This was taken with a Canon 5D Mark III with a Canon 16-35 L lens on a tripod.Inspiration
I was taking photos of the famous Chain Brisge and the Budapest Parliament and turned around to see the holiday tram which immediately got an idea of what I wanted to capture.Editing
In post processing, I I dropped highlights and upped the shadows. The clarity was bummed. This is a bracketed shot with one frame being as the tram was stopped to let passengers on and off and one frame that was long exposure. In my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark III; Canon 16-35 mm f/2.8 L; Canon 24-70 l mm f/2.8; Canon 70-200 mm f/2.8; Canon 2x TC; Sigma 50mm f/1.4; Canon 135 mm f/2.0Feedback
Patiences is critical on this shot. This happens to be one of the most frustrating shots I have taken in quite some time. The tram only comes around about every thirty minutes and if you don't get the shot immediately it is complicated to stand around and wait for the next opportunity. I had my tripod set up and every tram coming around I had to be looking through the camera ready to go. This shot took 3 or 4 passes of the tram which drove my wife and friend crazy due to the insanely cold weather. I left the area not a hundred percent sure I had what I wanted. My post processing was a true celebration once I get in to look what I had! I was very pleased for my first time for this type of shot.
