I took this photograph while strolling around the shore of Wastwater, it shows the movement in the water and offers a feeling for how cold and overcast the day was. I love the way the stream is rushing past while the heavy storm clouds seem to still, holding back becoming heavier and more foreboding, the whitewashed walls of the farm house stand proud and are synonymous with all farm houses in the North of England to signal that they are a welcoming port in the storm....or so legend has it, thankfully I have never needed to try it out.
The camera was Canon EOS550d with Sigma EX 10 - 20mm @ 10mm and F.22 to ensure great depth of field, sat atop of a huge Benbo Mk 5 tripod with a Cokin graduate to keep skyward highlights in check I think this is a successful Black and White Landscape study
