Last night I took the pedestrian and cycle path across the M48 bridge over the river Severn, stood at about the middle I took this photograph looking out into the Bristol Channel toward the newer M4 bridge. At the late side of the golden hour light was failing but what was left in the remnants of the day were beautiful warm hues, unlike the wind temperature which was quite chilly. I had a 10 stop Tiffen filter on the front of my Sigma EX 10 20 mm lens and zoomed out to the 10mm end. The light was such that at an aperture of F22. and ISO 100 I used a cable release and a 5.5 minute exposure. The RAW file was a little dim once uploaded but in lightroom I brought it back to life, the highlights were well within latitude and the noise in the shadows not too intrusive. Cropped to 16:9 format the wide angle aspect becomes even more panoramic. I little perspective correction put the bridge piers and the electricity pylon back straight after the wide angle had distorted it.
