This wire rope (Tirfor Bond) is attached to another wire rope by the use of a device called a Wallace Toggle, the wallace toggle is one of those things that unless you are a linesman or a rigger you may never come across. The image shows the erecting team completing the lower section of an electricity transmission tower destined to carry 275 thousand volts across Scotland. I used this angle and ultra wide angle lens to show a distinct geometric pattern.
I had to stop the lens right down to keep a reasonable amount of detail and focus in the extreme foreground and the structure.
The camera used was a Canon EOS 550d and the lens a Sigma 10 - 20mm at 10mm and F.22
