I heard the some of the birds in the backyard acting weird todayand the squirrels were making noises as well. This usually indicates either that one of the neighborhood cats is in the yard or another predator. i grabbed my camera and walked out and spotted this Cooper's Hawk on the ground by the bushes. I quietly went up on my deck and proceeded to take multiple photos. The hawk eventually went into a bush and then took off. I was no more than 15 feet away. No birds ended up being the hawk's prey today.
