Location
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, at the Rio Grande Zoo.Time
Mid-afternoon.Lighting
It was mid-afternoon so the sun was high and bright. No other lighting was used.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS T1i, 70-300mm lens.Inspiration
Our zoo has free roaming peacocks and I've always wanted to see them with their feathers out. I'd just happened to have my camera with me that day and was lucky to get such beautiful shots.Editing
I enhanced the colors of the peacock and added a vignette to focus the eyes to the peacock face as well as bright green tail feathers. In my camera bag
I normally have my Canon 70d with an 18-135mm lens, and several filters.Feedback
Be patient and take lots of pictures at different kinds of angles.
