This was right after we had walked around the town. I had seen a lot of statues similar to it, so I finally decided to stop. This photo was taken in the afternoon.Lighting
The sun was pretty high when I took the picture and I liked the way it illuminated the dark statue.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon Rebel Xsi with a kit lens.Inspiration
I found it interesting to take photos of statues at different angles instead of straight on. I used the leading line of the gun barrel to make it more visually interesting.Editing
I just changed the picture from color to black and white and increased the contrast to make it pop.In my camera bag

Try to put yourself in a weird position especially when it comes to statues to get the most interesting shot.
