When baby Kecil was born, his mother rejected him. He was sent to a zoo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but the female there also rejected him. He was then sent to Brookfield Zoo in Illinois and one of their older females, Maggie accepted him and bonded well with him. The pair were kept off of public display for months to facilitate their bonding process. I was lucky to finally be there when they came out for public viewing and it is clear that they are attached to each other.
