I would love to see this place... but, at my age, four mile hikes are not small... I would have to make it a six hour hike...

Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken on one of the Norwegians most touristic places. Trolltunga is situated in the province of Hordaland.
Time
The picture was taken at around 3 P.M. The sun was not at it highest point anymore and most of the tourist were starting their hike back down.
Lighting
The lightning was solely natural light.
Equipment
This picture was shot wit my first DSLR, the Canon 1000D. The lens I used was canons pancake lens, the 40mm F/2.8 STM. No other equipment was used, except for my legs hiking up to Trolltunga.
Inspiration
The tourists did. Everybody was taking pictures of friends and family walking, sitting, crawling or doing acrobatics on Trolltunga. There was only one good spot that was reachable without any climbing gear to take the pictures.
Editing
This picture is actually a composition of 2 pictures. I had one picture where I liked the water below it and one where I liked the sky. This was also due to the prime 40mm that I didn't have to much freedom to frame the picture. After that I did some minor basic corrections in the highlights and shadows but nothing extreme.
In my camera bag
Nowadays I always walk around with my F-stop gear satori EXP Filled with the canon 1000D and a griped Canon 5D (mk I). As lenses I have the kitlens from the 1000D, the pancake 40mm F/2.8 and a sigma 70-300. I also have a speedight from canon with me, the 270EX II.
Feedback
Be prepared to hike 4 hours up to Trolltunga and 4hours back down again. It is situated quit remote but it is oh so beautiful. The hike itself is also very nice. On our way up I was able to make a stunning panorama picture. If you like nature and you don't mind putting some effort in getting somewhere, this is the perfect spot for you (if you're not afraid of heights of course).
