Location
This was taken at Amnicon Falls in upper Wisconsin.Time
1:32 pm.Lighting
The lighting was very bright which I normally do not like for shooting waterfalls in the woods. We got lost trying to find the spot. I was able to get in a position to get this shot without excessive contrast with the sun behind me.Equipment
Nikon D300 camera. Nikon 18-200mm lens. Tripod.Inspiration
I just loved the double waterfall. I found a spot on the trail where the waterfalls were framed by the foliage.Editing
I did increase the shadows globally and by using an adjustment brush. I made minor exposure adjustments and sharpened it. These changes were done in Lightroom. In my camera bag
My Nikon camera, Nikon lenses including a 12-24mm, an 18-300mm, a 70-200mm, an 80-400mm, a 50mm and a fisheye lens, extra cards and battery.Feedback
Don't give up even if the lighting seems terrible. I recommend a tripod for better sharpness. I would have missed this shot if I hadn't walked into the woods to check things out.
